The Holiday Spirit Has Come Early

I am starting to get the feeling that summer is coming to an end - the days are getting shorter and mornings are much cooler. I suppose that is why I've been thinking a little about the holidays this year. The other day I came across this little tree at a rummage sale for $2. The little birdie made me think of Ashers, and Matt even agreed that it was pretty awesome. Maybe it doesn't have to be a Christmas tree, but rather a cute little everyday tree.

And I am pretty proud of this little guy:

I guess not having many friends means more time for needlepoint and lots of awesome needlepoint ornaments and decorations this year!

No one mentioned how hard keeping geometric shapes sharp would be on this one. This requires that I actually pay attention, rather than watch North Exposure re-runs while sewing.

Your stuff is so beautiful, Abs! Wowie! And that little tree with the bird is such a find. I wished you were with me yesterday when I found a Marc Jacobs courier bag (leather trim and all) at the Comm Ave Goodwill (used to be the Jasmine Sola) for $2.46. I nearly peed myself. <3 to you and the boys!
